Andrew J. Aldag

Andrew Aldag is a Member of the firm’s Chemistry Team. He has prepared and prosecuted U.S. and foreign-origin patent applications in a wide range of mechanical, electrical, electromechanical and chemical technologies. His experience extends to technologies such as polymer chemistries, cryogenic and other industrial liquids and gases, polymer filament spinning, electro-mechanical systems, semiconductor manufacture and processing, and medical devices. Mr. Aldag prepares patent clearances, patentability, invalidity and non-infringement opinions in the chemical and mechanical arts. Mr. Aldag also assists in and supports patent litigation.   

Prior to coming to Edell, Shapiro & Finnan, Andrew was a Patent Examiner at the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office, examining in the chemical arts in relation to chemical and electrochemical sensors.

Andrew is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin (Madison, Wisconsin), having a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering. His received a J.D. degree from Marquette University Law School (Milwaukee, Wisconsin).

Andrew is admitted to the Bars of Maryland and Wisconsin, and is registered to practice before the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is affiliated with the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
